I’ve participated in Mobility Cup as a volunteer and companion sailor for over fifteen years. I don’t do it because of some sense of civic duty. I do this because I love it. SinC Andrew Lewis Three-time Laser Olympian in sailing Andrew Lewis has been named ILCA 7 Canadian National Team Coach. “On Deck” conversation with the former athlete from Trinidad and Tobago who has now turned to coaching.

SinC Violet Stafford Ontario Sailing is delighted to announce that Violet Stafford has joined their staff as Training Centre Development Coach. Stafford, who most recently served as Lead Performance Coach for the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, brings over six years of experience coaching and developing youth programs on the high-performance pathway.


Silver medal for Andre Deseau of West Van YC

Close to 40 young Canadian sailors were in action last weekend for the Midwinters West competitions held in California.

At the ILCA-NA Midwinters West held at Marina del Rey, Andre Deseau was the top Canadian with a second-place finish in the ILCA 4 class. The athlete from West Vancouver Yacht Club had a strong last day with a 4th, 1st and 3rd position, allowing him to climb from third to second spot.
